Give Local 2020

Picture

Hosted by the Connecticut Community Foundation, Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills, Give Local unites individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations with one goal: To raise as much money as possible for the community work of hundreds of local nonprofit organizations.

During 36 hours on April 21st and 22nd, the online giving event will happen for the seventh consecutive year.

Donations can be made to Ripley at any time during the event at GiveLocalCCF.org and every dollar that is donated will be boosted further with a percentage of bonus dollars.

Your Support is critical.
As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, many non-profits are experiencing decreased revenue streams. Give Local provides an opportunity for organizations, including Ripley, to recoup some of those lost dollars and gives donors an opportunity to help out from the comfort of their homes.

How has Ripley been impacted?
Ripley’s aviculture team is considered essential personnel during the Covid-19 crisis. Our dedicated aviculturists are working through this difficult time to maintain the daily high level of care for over 400 beautiful rare and endangered birds.

Ripley is also continuing to provide education programs. We are collaborating with teachers on new live distance learning programs for their virtual classrooms so that we may continue to share the importance of conserving wildlife and protecting our planet.

Like many organizations, our essential revenue-producing events and programs have been canceled which is difficult for a nonprofit like Ripley, but we continue to show up for our birds, teachers and students every day. Please show up for them too, by helping us provide access to inspiration in a time of need. Join us in helping our team continue to provide care for our birds and create new education programs for kids in Connecticut and beyond!

What can you do to help?
Share and share alike. It's as simple as sending an email! Help us grow our network by sending an email to your network and ask your friends to do the same.

Become a peer fundraiser. We need fundraising champions to help drive people to our Give Local profile on April 21-22. Contact us for more information on how to become a peer fundraiser, or sign up here!

Make a contribution. Any donation made to Ripley on April 21-22 through our Give Local page will be boosted with bonus funds from the Connecticut Community Foundation, making your support go even further!

Thank you in advance for your support!
