Raptor Experiences

Interact with our Harris's Hawk like never before!

Run by Director of Aviculture Andrew Ocampo, these raptor experiences are truly unique. The Conservancy is one of only a handful of facilities in the country that can offer you the chance to:
  • Learn about the biology and life history of birds of prey, including conservation action in the United States
  • Meet our Harris's Hawk up close and personal
  • Experience the majesty of flight as you observe free-flight demonstrations or have a hawk land directly on your gloved hand!
Covid-19 Protocols
  • Raptor Experiences will take place completely outdoors.  ​ 
  • If you are coughing, sneezing, do not feel well, or have been in contact with a person who has or is suspected to have Covid-19 within two weeks prior to your experience, you must reschedule.  
  • Temperatures will be taken on arrival. 

Hawk Walk

1.5 hours of hands-on interaction with a Harris's Hawk
$200 per participant; $75 per non-participant
Membership Discount: 10% off



*Non-participants will not handle birds
*Children must be 12 years or older to attend.  Participants 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.  Exceptions cannot be made.

Join Andrew Ocampo, Ripley's Director of Aviculture, for an up close and personal raptor experience featuring our Harris's Hawk, Dusky. 

​The Conservancy is one of only a handful of facilities in the country offering this interactive raptor experience.  Learn about the sport of falconry, birds of prey, including biology, life history, and raptor conservation in the United States. Then, you'll head outside to take a Hawk Walk through the woods as Dusky lands on your gloved hand.  Witness the majesty of flight firsthand as he soars overhead.
