Avian Ambassadors

With the help of our avian ambassadors, students learn about the amazing adaptations that enable birds to thrive in their specialized environments.
environmental education
We discuss: 
  • Waterfowl: What makes this group of birds unique
  • Feet, beaks and feathers: How these adaptations perfectly suit birds for their habitats
  • Imprinting: How we train our birds for success in the classroom
​This program is tailored to fulfill the following Next Generation Science Standards:
  • K-LS1-1, K-ESS3-1, K-ESS2-2 
  • 1-LS1-2 
  • 2-LS4-1 
  • 3-LS2-1, 3-LS4-3 
  • 4-LS1-1
