LRWC's Owl Prowl is back! Take a walk on the dark side and join us for an evening filled with learning about Connecticut's nocturnal animals, then embark on a night hike to call in wild owls, and enjoy hot apple cider and marshmallows at a bonfire!
Schedule of Events 7:00 pm Meet in LRWC's Red Barn Education Room to learn about local nocturnal wildlife and the unique adaptations that make them able to survive and thrive living during our darkest hours. Plus, meet LRWC's resident owls, Poppy & Camo.
7:45 pm Join LRWC's Director of Aviculture, Andrew Ocampo, for a short night hike through the Conservancy in search of Screech Owls, Barred Owls, and perhaps even a Great-Horned Owl.
8:30pm Stick around and warm up after your hike with hot beverages, marshmallows and a bonfire.
Cost Members $15 Non-Members $20 Children 15 and under $10
Details Group size is limited so tickets must be purchased in advance, no later than 12/12/19. Children are welcome, suggested age 8 and older. Dress for the weather! Warm layers and waterproof boots are suggested. Bring your own flashlight.
