Raptor Experiences

Interact with our Harris's Hawk like never before!
Run by Director of Aviculture Andrew Ocampo, these raptor experiences are truly unique. The Conservancy is one of only a handful of facilities in the country that can offer you the chance to:
  • Learn about the biology and life history of birds of prey, including conservation action in the United States
  • Meet our Harris's Hawk up close and personal
  • Experience the majesty of flight as you observe free-flight demonstrations or have a hawk land directly on your gloved hand!
Hawk Walk
1.5 hours of hands-on interaction with a Harris's Hawk
$175 per participant; $50 per non-participant

Join Andrew Ocampo, Ripley's Director of Aviculture, for an up close and personal raptor experience featuring our Harris's Hawk, Dusky.  The Conservancy is one of only a handful of facilities in the country offering this interactive raptor experience.  Learn about birds of prey, including biology, life history, and raptor conservation in the United States, then meet each of our raptors in person.  Finally, you'll head outside to take a Hawk Walk through the woods as Dusky lands on your gloved hand.  Witness the majesty of flight firsthand as he soars overhead.
