Duck Camp 2020
Parents, please know that the health and safety of your children is our top priority. While there are many uncertainties surrounding Covid-19, Ripley is doing everything in its power to plan accordingly for our upcoming Summer Camps.

Join Us For Camp

​​This July and August, Ripley is offering five, week-long, half-day camp sessions for children entering grades 3-6 and 6-8 in the Fall of 2020.
Camp days are interactive, educational, and lots of fun! Get ready for exciting outdoor adventures where you'll learn about nature, wildlife, conservation, and more. Each session includes outdoor exploration, hands-on activities, experiments, games, crafts, and interaction with our amazing flock of 400 birds from around the world!
Quick Facts
Camp runs Monday through Friday in the mornings and afternoons
​Your child may only attend either the Morning (9AM-12PM) or the Afternoon Session (1PM-4PM)
Cost: $175 for Members & $200 ​for Non-Members
Attendance: each session is limited to 5 participants
Located at 55 Duck Pond Road, Litchfield, CT 06759.

Be sure to bring a snack and water bottle every day (a refrigerator is available)

Regardless of the camp theme, each camper will be paired with their very own duck for hands-on learning!

Bird Nerd-Back by Popular Demand
July 6th-10th

This week is for the bird lovers! Campers will be given the opportunity to raise their very own bird. Bird introductions will take place on Monday where campers will be matched to their bird and tasked with taking care of their animal throughout the week. Each day campers will learn more about their bird, including life history, anatomy, breeding, and husbandry while assisting with animal care.  
Neature, Nature, Necktie?
July 13th - 17th

Something doesn't belong! This week campers will learn about Connecticut's amazing ecosystems and identify what belongs here and what needs to go. Come and explore topics, such as the alien invaders around us, and decide if they should stay or if it's time for them to hit the road! 
Nature Unleashed
August 10th-14th

Join us this week to learn about the power of nature, from the strength of a tornado to the speed of a cheetah, we will investigate some of nature's most amazing accomplishments. This week is perfect for the curious adventurers and students wanting to explore the outdoors!

This week is for the bird lovers! Campers will be given the opportunity to raise their very own bird. Scientific Discovery
August 3rd-7th
Morning Session 9AM-12PM (Only 1 Spot Left!)
Afternoon Session 1PM-4PM (Only 2 Spots Left!)

Join us to explore what it takes to become an environmental scientist. Campers will conduct scientific experiments to discover just how difficult it is to clean up after an oil spill, the impacts of climate change on critical habitat areas, and how species respond to environmental stress. This week of camp is perfect for any student interested in exploring the environment  beyond the end of the school year.
